Samantha & Richard - Combermere Abbey

October 5, 2016

Samantha and Richard got married at Combermere Abbey back in July and definitely had a clear idea of how they wanted their wedding to look (although not really sure of how to achieve it!)

Samantha wanted an elegant style, going with pale pink/blush colour scheme. As Combermere Abbey already had pretty chiavari chairs we simply enhanced them with our vintage pink ruffle chair hoods teamed with pearl brooches to add that finishing touch.

We then added mixed size silver lanterns and petals down the aisle to create a beautiful walkway for Richard to welcome his beautiful bride.

For their wedding breakfast Samantha & Richard had decided upon our tall silver candelabras. These added height to the room and create a lovely warmth and ambiance. For the candelabras we created stunning floral arrangements that perfectly matched Samantha's bouquets. Included in these were Ivory Freesia, Astrantia Million Stars, Gypsophila, Eucalyptus, Rose Magadi, Rose Pink Shadow and Rose Maritim.

To add further dimension to the centrepieces we included mini vases with roses, tealights and for a bit of sparkle mirror plates and scatter crystals. Each table also had elegant ivory lace overlays.

Samantha and Richard weren't keen on the idea of a traditional long and low floral arrangement for the top table so instead opted for a collection of mini vases and vintage bottles filled with fresh flowers to match the candelabras, along with pillar candles, taper candles and tealights. This added warmth and colour all along the front of the table and was teamed with an ivory lace swag and scatter crystals.

Samantha & Richard's wedding at Combermere Abbey was everything I love! Elegant, tasteful and complimentary of the venue. It suited their own personal tastes and style. A truly beautiful wedding.
